RODGER L. SIMS

Pastor

Pastor Rodger Sims, a native of Hopkins, South Carolina, is married to Donna Sims. They have two children, Rodger Jr. (wife Makayla) and Jacob Sims. Pastor Rodger was called to the ministry and licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2009, later being ordained in 2015. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Prayer and Faith Worship Center alongside his wife, Assistant Pastor Donna Sims.

Pastor Rodger has held various ministerial positions, including Associate Minister at Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church in Hopkins, South Carolina, and Associate Pastor at Sperring Memorial Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His roles have also encompassed, Assistant Director of the Youth Movement Organization (YMO), Sunday School teacher for both adults and children, Altar Ministry Worker, Chairperson of the Deacons Board, and participation in the Church Choir.

On July 14, 2023, Pastor Rodger and his wife were both installed as the Pastors of the Sims Prayer Line Ministries, providing individuals the opportunity to pray. Pastor Rodger is a retired military veteran who served honorably for 24 years, which includes 20 years of Active Federal Service.

He holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Midland Technical College, a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master's in Divinity with a Theology cognate from Liberty University. Additionally, he is certified in marriage counseling by both Symbis and Prepare Enrich.

DONNA S. SIMS

Co-Pastor

Donna is a very compassionate person.  She serves as serves as the Co-Pastor with her husband Rodger Sims Sr. of Prayer and Faith Worship Center Church.  Additionally, she and her husband are the Pastor & co-Pastors of Sims’ Prayer Line Ministries.  Donna is a licensed and ordained Chaplain with the International Fellowship of Chaplain’s.  It is while living in the  city of Philadelphia, as members under the leadership of Dr. Garth G. Gittens - Pastor of Calvary Baptist church – that both Donna and her husband’s life in ministry began.  At Calvary, she was ordained as a Reverend in 2015 and was licensed as a minister of the gospel in 2009.  Since then, she has served in various positions of ministry; Associate Pastor, Associate Minister,  Women’s Mission Union Chairperson, Finance Committee Chairperson, Youth Department Chairperson, Sunday School Teacher,  Alter Worker, Deaconess and Choir Member.  Donna is also a military veteran and a highly decorated finance officer.  In 2022 she retired holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was presented with the Legion of Merit award for over 26 years of faithful service to the Armed Forces.  Donna is currently enrolled at Liberty University, seeking her Doctoral degree in Church Revitalization.  She holds a master’s degree in Financial Management, a graduate level certificate in Biblical Studies, and a black belt certificate in Lean Six Sigma.  She and her husband reside happily in Fayetteville NC with their eldest son Rodger Jr. wife Makayla; and their

younger son Jacob).
